From the watch face, hold MENU. Select Watch Face. Select UP or DOWN to preview the watch face options. Select Add New to scroll through additional pre-loaded watch faces. Select START Apply to activate a pre-loaded watch face or an installed Connect IQ watch face. If using a pre-loaded watch face, select START Customize. Customizing the Watch Face. You can customize the watch face information and appearance. Select Watch Face. Select UP or DOWN to preview the watch face options. To activate the watch face, select Apply. To change the data that appears on the watch face, select Data. To change the accent color, select Accent Color. Clock type: Select a watch face Date: Set the current date. Time: Set the current time. Time format: Select 12-hour format or 24-hour format. DST: Set the Daylight Savings option on/off. Change the Watch Face. Touch and hold the Watch Screen, and swipe the screen or tap the arrow button to view available watch faces. Customizing the Watch Face. You can customize the watch face information and appearance. Connect IQ watch face settings can be adjusted in two ways:
1. Directly on the watch, if the watch and the app allows it
To do this, first you need to get to the watch face selection menu on your watch. When you are there and your face of choice is being shown, you will always be presented with the “Apply” option. If the settings on the watch are supported, you will also see another choice “Customize”.
2. Through a Garmin app
To customize Connect IQ watch faces settings, you will need to use one of the available Garmin tools:
Garmin Vivoactive Watch Faces
- Garmin Express for PC or Mac (http://software.garmin.com/en-US/express.html)
- Garmin Connect (iOS or Android)
- Garmin Connect IQ (iOS or Android)
Each of these tools has its pros and cons:

Changing Watch Face On Garmin Vivoactive Hr
– You won’t see the results of your changes until you disconnect the watch from the computer, so if you want to try different settings to decide which you like most, this will be somewhat tedious.
Garmin Connect / Connect IQ

This is much more convenient than with Garmin Express and enough to definitely recommend Garmin Connect Mobile as the preferred option to change the settings.
